Temptation of Saint Anthony
A nonviolent traditional Roguelike where you take the role of Saint Anthony as he strives to live the hermit life.
Saint Anthony was a hermit in the 3rd century AD who lived outside of village of Coma, Egypt. Many followed Anthony out into the desert, hoping to learn from the Desert Father lessons of the ascetic life.
As Anthony, you must kindly mollify your would-be followers in your quest for an even more secluded eremetic life.
Gameplay:
Manage your hunger meter and avoid maxing out your Temptation meter as you journey into the desert.
Pray to resist the temptation of gold lures spawned by demons
Fast to increase your Piety regeneration, so you can use your sacred abilities. When you are starving or too full, you Piety regenerates slowly!
Controls:
Arrow keys, Numpad (numlock off) or Roguelike keys (h-j-k-l for left-down-up-right and y-u-b-n for diagonals)
Enter or Escape to exit modals/story prompts.
NOTE: The version of the game in the web player is not the original version submitted to 7DRL. This version contains bugfixes, balance tweaks, and performance improvements. If you would like to play the original submission, please download a build labelled "The Temptation Of St Anthony 7DRL Version (original)"

This was pretty easy to win but the atmosphere is great, and it's always nice to see more nonviolent themes being explored.
Looks like you added a new version with more enemies and adjustments since I streamed it earlier this week (timestamp), which I imagine make it even better, though I don't see any specific dev log about it so am curious what they are :)
Oops, that was just a typo in the date :) You played that version. I did fix the arrow keys and the exhort ability, though. Thanks for praying!

Very interesting! Still testing but Enter to restart on the gameover screen is not working in Chrome.
None of the 3 windows versions worked for me, I got the following error:
Also, when playing the web version, pressing '>' when on the portal didn't do anything.
